Use NewcoHunter from Claude and other AI assistants (MCP)
NewcoHunter has an MCP server at https://www.newcohunter.co.uk/mcp. Connect it with your API key and an assistant such as Claude can search companies, read signal feeds and find likely buyers on your behalf.
Before you start
Create a key on your API page. The free demo works. The server uses the same key, plan and record allowance as the REST API, so everything the assistant returns counts as records. See API and developers.
Claude Code
Run this in your terminal, using your own key:
claude mcp add --transport http newcohunter https://www.newcohunter.co.uk/mcp \
--header "Authorization: Bearer nh_your_key_here"
Other MCP clients
Add a server of type http with the URL above and an Authorization header of Bearer nh_your_key_here.
What it can do
The tools are search_companies, get_company, get_saved_search_matches, get_signal_events, get_company_timeline, find_likely_buyers, list_signal_types, list_offerings and get_usage. Each tool call returns up to 50 records. The signals tools need a Signals API plan.
Try asking
- "Find companies in Leeds incorporated this month in the construction sector."
- "Which companies in Manchester have registered new lending recently?"
- "How many API records do I have left this month?"
Keep your key safe
Treat the key like a password. Do not paste it into shared chats or commit it to code. If it leaks, delete it on your API page and create another. Use of the data is covered by the API terms.
