API terms
Last updated: 2 October 2026
These terms cover your use of the NewcoHunter Companies API and Signals API (together, "the API"). They add to our Terms of Service, which also apply. You accept them when you create an API key. The API is provided by KK London (Designs & Fashion) Limited, company number 12968488, 1 Davies Meadow, East Hanney, Wantage, OX12 0GG.
1. Who may use the API
Your API plan is licensed to the organisation that holds the account ("you"). Your employees and contractors may use it on your behalf. Keep your keys secret; you are responsible for all use made with them.
2. What you may do
You may use API output inside your own organisation: to find and research companies, to add records and signals to your own CRM and tools, and to act on them in your own sales, marketing, credit, compliance or service work.
3. What you may not do
- Resell, sublicense, publish or redistribute API output, in whole or in part, as data or as a dataset.
- Use API output to build, enrich or train a database, list, product or service that competes with NewcoHunter.
- Share keys outside your organisation, or use several accounts or keys to get around allowances or rate limits.
- Attempt to copy the API's contents in bulk, or to work out how its results are produced.
- Use the API for anything unlawful, including sending marketing that breaks UK data protection or electronic marketing law.
4. Allowances, rate limits and changes
Each plan includes a number of records a month, as shown on the developers page. We apply rate limits to keep the service fast for everyone. We may change endpoints, fields, allowances and limits; we will give at least 30 days' notice of any change that removes something you rely on.
5. Payment
Paid plans are billed monthly in advance. Prices exclude VAT, which is added at checkout. You can cancel at any time; access continues to the end of the period you have paid for.
6. When you cancel
Within 30 days of your plan ending, delete API output you have stored, except records you have already used in your own work (for example a company you have contacted and added to your CRM as a lead or customer).
7. Monitoring and suspension
We monitor usage to protect the service. We may ask you to confirm how you use the API, and we may suspend or revoke keys if we reasonably believe these terms have been broken. Where we can, we will contact you first.
8. The data
Company information from Companies House is Crown copyright, used under the Open Government Licence; you may use that underlying public information under that licence. These terms cover our service and the signals, flags, labels and results we add. API output is provided as is: public records can be late, incomplete or wrong, and you should check anything important before you rely on it.
9. Liability
The limits on our liability in our Terms of Service apply to the API. Nothing in these terms limits liability that cannot be limited by law.
10. Contact
