Frequently asked questions
Can I download Companies House data for free?
Yes, two ways. Companies House publishes a free monthly snapshot of every company on the register as a set of CSV files (several gigabytes, basic company details only), and its free API returns any single company. Neither gives you a ready list of companies registered last week in a particular sector or town, which is what most people searching for a download actually want.
What is in a NewcoHunter list?
One row per company: company number, name, status, type, incorporation date, an FAO line with the first active director, the registered office address split into columns, postcode, SIC codes, sector, a shell-company flag, and any verified website, email or LinkedIn page. It opens in Excel and drops straight into a mail merge.
How much does a one-off list cost?

Does the download include email addresses?
Only where a company's website has been verified against its own registration number and an email is published on it. That is rare for brand new companies, so the reliable contact route in every list is the registered address and the named director.
