Connect NewcoHunter to Zapier
1 min read
NewcoHunter sends matches to Zapier through a webhook. Create a Catch Hook in Zapier, add its URL on your Webhooks page, then build the rest of your Zap. You need a Pro plan (or the Pro trial) and a Zapier account.
Step 1: create the trigger in Zapier
- In Zapier click Create Zap.
- Choose Webhooks by Zapier as the trigger and Catch Hook as the event.
- Click Continue and copy the Custom Webhook URL (it starts with
https://hooks.zapier.com/hooks/catch/).
Step 2: add the webhook in NewcoHunter
- Open your Webhooks page and click Add Webhook.
- Give it a name, such as "Zapier - Google Sheets".
- Paste the Zapier URL.
- Pick one saved search, or leave it blank to fire for all your searches.
- Click Create, then click Test to send a sample.
Step 3: finish the Zap
- Back in Zapier click Test Trigger. You should see the sample company.
- Add an action step for your destination app, such as Google Sheets, HubSpot or Mailchimp.
- Map the fields (company name, company number, address, sector codes, directors) and publish the Zap.
Good to know
- Filtering happens in your saved search before anything is sent, so only matches trigger the Zap.
- Each delivery can contain several companies. Zapier handles this with a looping or line-item step if you want one row per company.
- If your endpoint keeps failing, the webhook switches itself off. Fix the problem and re-enable it from the Webhooks page.
- Salesforce users can reach Salesforce this way while native sync is coming soon.
The full format is in Webhooks. There is also a public guide at /integrations/zapier.
