The NewcoHunter APIs: keys, plans and signal webhooks

NewcoHunter has two APIs on one key: the Companies API to search and look up UK companies, and the Signals API for a feed of changes at companies. You can start free with 100 records and no card. Full reference is at /developers.

Get a key

1. Verify your email, then open /account/api.
2. Type a key name and tick the box to accept the API terms.
3. Click Create key and copy it. Send it as Authorization: Bearer nh_your_key_here.

The free demo includes 1 key. A paid API plan allows up to 5.

Bulk plans for national volumes are available from our contact form. The Business website plan includes 2,000 API records a month.

How records are counted

A record is one company or one signal returned. Asking for the same record again in the same month is free, and calls that return nothing cost nothing. Every response carries headers showing what you have used and have left, and GET /api/v1/usage is free. Rate limits apply per key.

Signal webhooks

On the Signals API you can add webhooks on your API page (Add webhook), choosing signal families and optional postcode areas. We post new signals that match to your HTTPS endpoint every few minutes. The secret is shown once, so copy it when you see it. Use Send test to check delivery. Each signal delivered uses one record.
