My export is empty or will not download

Exports have to be allowed by your plan and need at least one company in your results. Check these in order.

1. Is export on your plan?

CSV and Excel export is included in Pro and Business. On the Free plan, or after a trial has ended, the Export button opens a menu to subscribe or to buy this list once instead. If you see "Export not included on your plan", you are on a plan without it. See Plans compared and Buy a one-off list.

2. Do you have any results?

An export contains the companies in your current search. If your filters match nothing, there is nothing to export. Loosen the filters, for example widen the date range, add nearby areas or choose more sectors. When buying a list, "No companies to buy for this search" means the same thing.

3. Pick a format

Select Export, then choose CSV (.csv) or Excel (.xlsx). If the file looks wrong in Excel, try the .xlsx option.

4. "Export failed"

If you see "Export failed - please try again", wait a moment and retry. If your browser blocks downloads, allow them for this site.

5. Fewer rows than expected

The export reflects the filters on the page when you click it. Check that none have been left on by mistake. Your plan may also limit how many companies come through each week. See More matched than shown.

See What is in the export. Note that many new companies have no website, email or phone number yet, so those columns can be blank.
