Solvent wind-down
Solvent wind-down means the owners have chosen to close a company in an orderly way while it can still pay its debts. It sits in the Changing family, not Failing.
What it does not mean
It does not mean the business is in distress. It is often a planned step, such as a retirement, a sale or a group tidy-up. It also does not mean every liquidation is solvent: In liquidation covers the insolvent cases.
How to find it
Look in the Activity section of a company profile, in alerts, or through the Signals API.
Example outreach angle
"We help owners and advisers with the practical side of closing a company, such as [asset sale / records / final filings]."
Keep the tone calm. The owners have usually planned this.
