In liquidation
In liquidation means a company has entered a formal process to close it and sell its assets. It sits in the Failing family.
What it does not mean
It does not cover a solvent wind-down. A company can choose to close in an orderly way while it can still pay its debts. We show that separately as Solvent wind-down. It also does not tell you whether you, as a supplier or customer, are owed money.
How to find it
Open companies in liquidation, or choose "In liquidation" in the status filter of the established-company search at /companies.
Example outreach angle
"We help liquidators with [asset valuation / disposal / data recovery]. Who is handling the process?"
Aim at the liquidator named on the record, not at the former directors.
