Changing signals: ownership, name, location or direction
The Changing family covers businesses changing who owns or runs them, what they are called, where they are based or what they do. Existing supplier relationships can be up for review.
Signals in this family
- New owner and Owner left
- Moved registered office
- Changed name
- Changed what it does
- Loan paid off
- Solvent wind-down
- Applied to close (voluntary strike-off), see Strike-off signals
- Reactivated
Who finds it useful
Examples: commercial lawyers, M&A and corporate finance advisers, marketing and brand agencies, and suppliers who want to re-pitch after a change of owner or address.
What it does not mean
A change is not a verdict. A registered office move is not always a physical move, and a new owner does not mean the business is for sale or unhappy with its suppliers.
How to use it
Find these in a company's Activity section, in alerts, or through the Signals API. The "Recently reactivated" option in the established-company search finds companies that have started trading again.
