Every UK company must have a registered office address. This is the official address held at Companies House where legal documents and official correspondence are delivered.
Under the Companies Act 2006, every company must maintain a registered office address at all times. The address must be displayed on business letters, order forms, and the company website. Changes must be notified to Companies House within 14 days using form AD01.
A company can change its registered office by filing form AD01 with Companies House. The new address must be in the same jurisdiction (England/Wales, Scotland, or Northern Ireland) as the original registration.
