How often does NewcoHunter post to Slack?
NewcoHunter posts to Slack on your chosen alert cadence - daily by default. One batched message is sent per digest run covering all new matches from that period. It will not post individual messages for every single company, so your channel stays clean and readable.
Can I post new company alerts to multiple Slack channels?
Yes. You can create separate webhook connections for different Slack channels - for example, one channel for new companies in your core sector and another for a different geographic region. Each saved search can send to a different channel.
Can I filter which companies trigger a Slack alert?
Yes. Filtering is controlled by your NewcoHunter saved searches. Set up a search filtered by SIC code category and postcode area, and only companies matching those criteria will trigger a Slack message. You can run multiple saved searches posting to the same or different channels.
Does the Slack integration work with Slack free plans?
Yes. The Incoming Webhooks app that NewcoHunter uses is available on all Slack plans, including the free tier. The integration itself requires a NewcoHunter Pro plan or above.
What happens if my Slack webhook URL changes?
If you generate a new webhook URL in Slack, update it in NewcoHunter from the webhook settings page. The old URL will stop receiving messages and the new one will take over on the next digest run.
