What plan do I need for the Microsoft Teams integration?
The Microsoft Teams integration requires a NewcoHunter Pro plan or above. You will also need a Microsoft 365 Business or Enterprise plan with access to the Teams Workflows feature (formerly Power Automate) to create the incoming webhook.
How often does NewcoHunter post to Teams?
NewcoHunter posts to Teams on your chosen alert cadence - daily by default. One batched notification is sent per digest run covering all new matches from that period. Messages are not sent individually per company, keeping your channel readable and manageable.
Can I send new company alerts to multiple Teams channels?
Yes. You can create separate webhook connections pointing to different Teams channels. Different saved searches can post to different channels - for example, one channel for new companies in one sector and another for a different region.
Does this integration use Teams Workflows or the old Connectors?
The integration uses the Teams Workflows incoming webhook, which is the current and supported method for posting messages to Teams channels. Microsoft retired the legacy Office 365 Connectors approach in 2024. The setup instructions use the 'Post to a channel when a webhook request is received' Workflow template.
Can I filter which new companies trigger a Teams notification?
Yes. Filtering is controlled by your NewcoHunter saved searches. Set up searches filtered by SIC code and postcode area, and only companies matching those criteria will trigger a notification. Multiple saved searches can each post to the same or different Teams channels.
What happens if my Teams webhook URL changes?
If you regenerate the webhook URL in Teams Workflows, update it in the NewcoHunter webhook settings. The old URL will stop receiving messages and the new URL takes effect on the next digest run.
